Find out more about the history and the person who brought Natursaga to life.
I'm Maira, the 26-year-old German creator behind Natursaga, and Sweden is now my home. Here, with my husband and daughter, I've found a wonderful life, and the Scandinavian nature is a never-ending source of inspiration for what I do.
My interest in sewing was sparked early on by my grandmother, a professional seamstress, and my mother, who taught me the basics. This foundation led me to formal training in Stuttgart, where I studied to become a tailor and fashion designer, and completed my journeyman's certificate.
My years after graduating have been marked by working with pattern making and fabric design. Now, I've taken the step to create Natursaga, a company that unites my passion for nature with my craftsmanship and design knowledge. I'm so happy to be able to share this journey with you.
